The honest breakdown before you call: what refinishing fixes, what it doesn't, and what to expect on price.
Not every wheel problem needs the same fix, and a shop that tells you otherwise is either guessing or upselling. Curb rash, scuffs, faded clear coat, and an outdated factory color are all cosmetic, and refinishing brings the wheel back to like-new for a fraction of replacement cost. A genuinely bent or cracked rim is a different problem, a structural one, and refinishing won't fix it. Here's how to tell which one you're looking at, and what it costs to fix the kind we handle.

Refinish It
Cosmetic damage on a structurally sound wheel. This is most curb rash.
- Scrapes, gouges, and curb rash along the outer edge
- Faded, peeling, or oxidized clear coat
- Surface scratches that catch a fingernail but not your ride
- A factory color you're just tired of looking at
- Wheel still holds air and sits flat with no wobble
Straighten or Weld It
Bent or cracked wheels need different tools than we carry, but they're not always a total loss.
- A bent wheel can often be mechanically straightened back to true by a specialist with the right press equipment
- A single hairline crack on the inner barrel, away from the bead seat, can sometimes be safely TIG-welded by a certified wheel welder
- Multiple cracks, a crack through a spoke, or damage near the bead seat or hub usually means the wheel needs to be replaced instead

- Wheel size and finish, larger wheels and multi-tone or diamond-cut finishes take more time

Our Warranty
All refinishing and repair work is backed by a 1-year warranty from the date of service. This warranty covers defects in our workmanship, such as the applied finish peeling, cracking, or lifting under normal use.
